Tonal, the connected fitness at-home gym company, is suing its Chinese rival, Speediance. The lawsuit covers a lot of ground, including alleged patent infringement, a request for monetary compensation, and the blocking of further production of Speediance’s Gym Monster. The Speediance Gym Monster and Speediance Gym Pal both promise to deliver an affordable, full-strength gym utilizing digital weight resistance. (You can find links to our reviews of both below.) Overall, most of the included accessories with Speediance’s packages are well designed. The only real problem I had was with the unstable adjustable bench.
Luckily, Speediance has now fixed the stability of the bench, and I have been able to test the new design out.

The Speediance Gym Pal is an extremely impressive piece of fitness tech. With a sleek design that takes up less than one square foot of floorspace when stored, the Gym Pal is still able to provide up to 220 lbs of strength resistance. All at a price that is significantly less than most alternatives.
